For Supporters

Dear Partner in Hope,

There are moments in life when a person feels bent by circumstances—strained by hardship, shaken by loss, or overwhelmed by responsibilities they never expected to carry. I know this feeling personally. And I also know that being bent is not the same as being broken.

My journey of service began early in life, shaped by a deep compassion for people navigating difficult seasons. Over the years—as a mother, grandmother, community leader, and now Overseer and National Women’s Director—I have walked beside countless individuals who simply needed someone to believe in them until they could believe in themselves again.

Was ^ Bent But Not Broken Foundation was born from that calling.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to help individuals and families rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope. Every program we offer—whether emotional support, crisis navigation, empowerment workshops, or family‑strengthening services—is designed to remind people that restoration is possible and that they do not have to walk alone.

But this work cannot happen without partners like you.

Your support allows us to:

  • Provide compassionate, judgment‑free support to individuals in crisis
  • Equip women and families with tools for long‑term stability
  • Offer programs that build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellness
  • Create safe spaces where healing can begin and hope can grow
  • Respond quickly to urgent needs in our community

Every gift—whether financial, in‑kind, or through partnership—directly strengthens our ability to serve those who are hurting, overlooked, or overwhelmed. You help us reach the single mother trying to rebuild, the young adult searching for direction, the family recovering from trauma, and the individual who feels like life has bent them beyond repair.

At the heart of this foundation is a belief shared by many: that every person has the capacity to rise again, no matter how difficult their circumstances. When you choose to support Was ^ Bent But Not Broken, you are investing in that rise. You are helping restore dignity. You are helping rebuild lives. You are helping people stand tall again.

Thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for believing in the people we serve. And thank you for standing with us as we continue the work of healing, restoration, and transformation.

With gratitude and hope,
Kathy N. Thompson
